a spread on fairness
exclusive paid subscriber spread for september 2022
hello friends, and i hope september is treating you well. a quick note that i’m giving away a copy of the latest book from theresa reed (also known as the tarot lady) over on instagram — this is the first of several giveaways that i’m doing with weiser books, the publisher for my own forthcoming book FINDING THE FOOL, and i would love for a subscriber to win! i really love this book on using tarot and astrology to manifest success, confidence, and courage, and i know you’ll love it too.
also a note that i am currently in the process of (finally!) transitioning from substack over to ghost, which will likely occur next month. you don’t have to do a single thing — the only difference you may notice will be in cosmetic changes, as i’ll be able to migrate subscriptions of all types over automatically. (i’m simultaneously consolidating patreon into ghost as well, and will share another post later in the month with more details about some new subscription options, but your current subscription will not change in any way unless you decide to change it yourself.)
i hope the following spread offers some opportunities for reflection on the subject of fairness, and gives you some guardrails as you analyze, interrogate, and question what you believe in. let’s get into it.
earlier this month, my essay on fairness explored ideas of justice through a very specific lens. but justice isn’t only about what feels fair to you, or to others — it’s also about exploring the subconscious, figuring out what activates us to movement, what feels good and correct and what feels wrong. sometimes we know that something is off, but it takes time to identify exactly what is happening, which piece of something bigger doesn’t work, as well as whether or not this is something that we can have an impact on.
